EBAY

The Ask

JCK Las Vegas isn’t a general trade show. The most prestigious event for the jewelry industry, this room sets the standard for everything that surrounds the actual product itself – booth included. For eBay’s Luxury team, they were faced with a significant challenge: take the brand most associate with everyday consumer commerce, and establish it as a credible authority figure in a room filled with high-end jewelers, collectors, and buyers.

The brief centered around eBay’s initiative, “Grow Your Business with eBay”, targeting professional jewelers and high-value collectors. To build a space for these gemstone guests, the environment needed:

  • Position eBay as a premier destination for luxury jewelry through “Certified by Brand’ and “Authenticity Guarantee” messaging
  • Demonstrate specific platform and features, including the “Best Offer” functionality, to educate potential buyers
  • Provide space for B2B conversations to happen with professional sellers
  • Support eBay’s creative framework of “Things People Love” with product-specific visual storytelling

At JCK, earning credibility in a luxury jewelry environment isn’t something you can talk your way into. The build had to support and reinforce the messaging eBay set out to deliver to convention-goers, and do so before anyone read a single word on the wall.

The Solution

Show Ready fabricated a 22x30 custom exhibit at the Venetian Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, at JCK for eBay’s luxury division. A precision-built environment, the booth translated eBay’s multicolor corporate identity into an aesthetically pleasing, premium booth that looked like it had been at the show for years.

Around The Outside

The right-side perimeter wall was rebuilt with Ocotlam Crust Granite and Chemetal Antiqued Brushed Brass laminates. The material pairing communicated luxury without ever resorting to industry clichés. Twelve internally lit display cubbies with locking clear glass fronts and backs were accessible from inside the booth, fully integrated right into the booth walls.

Digital Display Integration

High-resolution vertical displays in a 1:12 aspect ratio were integrated throughout the booth, used as a dynamic marketplace portal that mimicked eBay’s mobile app experience, simply scaled up for the booth. The displays ran live marketplace content and brought the “Things People Love” framework to life.

Meeting Infrastructure and Millwork

A private interior meeting with a custom 87” wide table, clear-coated oak veneer top, tambor finish legs, and brass toe kicks, gave the eBay team a dedicated space for conversations with sellers. An L-shaped giveaway counter combining the two glass top showcase units with internal LED lighting, complete with a curved corner cabinet, handled high-volume attendee interactions at the front of the booth. Radius corners on a triangular-shaped information kiosk (with one at ADA-approved height) provided a self-directed education touchpoint for platform features and seller tools.

Signage and Graphics

The full build was assembled onsite in Southern California at the Show Ready facility before we shipped. Walls, headers, graphics, lighting, all the nuts and bolts - literally - was confirmed in-shop. At the show floor, a backlit 3D eBay logo sign handled the brand visibility from across the hall. SEG fabric graphics with a brass laminate frame assisted in the uniformity of brand identity across every key wall elevation.

Results

The eBay JCK booth accomplished what the brief set out to do: put eBay in the room on the room’s terms. With the material palette of granite and brass, it gave eBay immediate visual authority in a category where finish quality is the baseline expectation. The illuminated cubbies gave a jeweler-native display moment that helped provide deeper context to eBay’s “Authenticity Guaranteed” and “Certified by BRand” programs. The private meeting room supported the more private conversations across all four days of the conference, while the digital display towers and vertical marketplace portals turned the booth into a live demo of what the digital marketplace can do for a luxury jewelry business.

The Return: eBay at JCK 2026

eBay returned to The Shop @ Show Ready with a singular focus: integrating eBay Live into the heart of the trade show experience. Avoiding a ground-up rebuild, the challenge was to modify the existing structure into a high-traffic broadcasting hub while maintaining the booth's premium aesthetic.

Broadcasting Integration

The booth was reimagined to support a dynamic live-stream workflow. We fabricated a new counter at the front of the booth, specifically designed to host multiple livestreams; the setup proved to be a powerhouse, generating millions in sales throughout the show.

The backwall underwent a major transformation to anchor the eBay Live program. This installation featured a custom pierce-cut backlit eBay Live logo, a brass-framed SEG graphic, and two vertically mounted monitors that toggled between the live broadcast from the booth and an eBay Live sizzle reel.

Results

The 2026 booth established a new benchmark for activity on the show floor, setting a high standard for engagement and production value. By transitioning the environment into an active broadcasting studio, we created an engaging, high-performing space that successfully commanded the floor to stand out amongst the competitors.
